Writing Skill is The Most Difficult Skill in English

Writing is one of the skills in English. Besides writing, the pther English skills are reading, speaking, and listening. However the students think that writing is the most difficult skill in English. They feel that writing is difficult because in writing they have to think of the rules in writing skill. In fact, writing is difficult for some students and also writing is easy for students who like writing.

There are many reason that make writing is difficult for many students. Many students who feel hard in writing, they always find difficult thing when they write something. First, they think that they are very difficult to write their idea. Sometimes, theu lose their idea to write, so they stop to write just because of it. Second,  they find the difficulties in grammar, punctuation, diction and other rules in writing.

In addition, students also think that writing skill is difficult because they have to write something that can make the readers understand and interest to their writing. To write good writing, they need to understand about what they write, so the readers can get the information about their writing ( Mulatsih, S 2007 ). Surely it is not easy thing for students to write something and make the readers understand about what they write.  Added with the organization in writing. They feel confuse about the rules and organization in writing, especially in grammar.

In the other hand, for students who like writing, they feel that writing is easy. They are prefer writing to other skills in English. They think that writing is more easy that listening. When they get the listening lesson, they can not catch the dialogue from the native speakers. They also can apply the rules of writing.

From that statements above, we know that not all students think that writing is difficult. Some students think that writing is easy. They who think that writin is difficult it is more better if they more pay attention in the rules such as grammar, punctuation, diction and so on. For students who think that writing is easy it is good if they more develop their idea to write. Therefore, writing is a difficult or easy thing it is depends how we learn it.
