Statement        : The most difficult skill in English is writing

Why Writing is Difficult Skills?

The education is the most significant thing to development of a country. English is an important aspect to learn in the modern era. One of the most difficult things in English is writing. Many of the studentsgrumble that they had difficulty to find ideas in writing. In the fact, writing is interesting skill because we will learn about write something that useful for us and the readers.

            The students said that writing was more difficult than any others. They think writing is difficult because they have to know the grammatical words, diction, structure and punctuation. Not all of the people understand and apply the grammatical well in their writing. To make a good writing, we should be able to convey our massage to the readers.(Mulatsih, S 2007). It is not easy because sometimes what we wrote not memorable and the texts are difficult to understand. We have to write with interesting language, so the readers are not bored.

            There are the reasons which in my opinion why writing is difficult skills. First, writing requires a perfect grammar, the students have to remember the rule and structure which are quite different with their own language. Second is punctuation, it is simple, but if we not attention in our writing it will make the readers confused. The third is often that we are difficult to get an idea to write something. I think it because they do not make writing as their habit.

            However, some of the students also think that writing is easier. They are preferred writing to listening or speaking. When they were speaking, they should have many vocabulary and good skill. Listening is difficult for them because they cannot hear the native-speaker clearly. Meanwhile writing did not require a good skill to speak or listening and if we not sure with some words that we will write, we can look at the dictionary.

            From the text above, I agree that writing is difficult skill. It is because writing need a good skill like grammar, punctuation, diction, structure and so on. Grammar can be learn, but we have to remember the rule in grammar and that is different with own language. Not all the people can express their ideas with writing. Most of them difficulty to find their ideas and they cannot convey their ideas to the readers.
